Boat Trip on the Thames, Tower Bridge, Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue and the Tower of London Poppies

I recently enjoyed a very special day out with Blake to celebrate the launch of Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue on DVD.

We were treated to a RIB boat trip on the Thames arriving at Tower Bridge.
It was exciting and spectacular - I don't get to enjoy being a "tourist" as much as I'd like to and we saw some amazing sights from the boat.

There was plenty of Thames in your face spray from the boat!

We were ever so lucky while we were inside the Tower ...

After the Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue DVD event had finished, we took a stroll around the outside of the Tower of London to see the amazing Poppies (and the lions!) and I'm pleased I got to see them! Worth having a look at the Poppies while they are here! There are 888,246 ceramic poppies and each one represents a British military fatality during the first world war, seeing them all there is just emotional and overwhelming! Did you know? you can buy one of the limited edition Poppies actually used in the installation.

Fireman Sam Ocean Rescue DVD is wonderfully enchanting and full of acts of bravery and inspiration, Fireman Sam is very entertaining and both my children (age 3 and 5) enjoy watching him.

The DVD contains six episodes from the children's animated series following Pontypandy's favourite fireman. In this instalment, Sam and his team perform rescue operations at sea when some of the townsfolk get into trouble. The episodes are: 'All at Sea', 'Whale Watch', 'The Pontypandy Cup', 'Turtle Hunt', 'The Treasure Trap' and 'Stage Fright'.

My children both like the Whale Watch episode the best!
