I'm currently fuming at the Hohn Admans Gross Magic kit advertises on the TV with the word Fart actually mentioned! It's on one of the Disney channels - sooo not ok on a whole level! Fart is a nasty term, wish more parents would stand up to it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4479671215236431924.post-4582109005981769372015-06-08T22:59:57.258+01:002015-06-08T22:59:57.258+01:00I had no idea some people were offended by the wor...I had no idea some people were offended by the word fart! I was brought up with it being the term commonly used to decribe passing wind. I think the majority of people find it acceptable. Personally I cringe when I hear people say trump, pop off, pump, pop, puff, fluff etc. To me it just sounds so twee! Obviously this is just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4479671215236431924.post-34764458423148353682015-05-27T20:42:54.626+01:002015-05-27T20:42:54.626+01:00My boys, son1 in particular, deliberately try to w...My boys, son1 in particular, deliberately try to wind me up by saying fart, bottom, poo, willy loads of the time because they know I don't like it. I certainly don't class it as a swear word. Love puff is a word that it be heard jokingly referring to a release of air from a different place altogether...lol. I prefer trump although my daughter uses pump which I'm also not keen on purely cos it is one of those words I just Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4479671215236431924.post-54067906212231287852015-05-05T20:37:02.962+01:002015-05-05T20:37:02.962+01:00We say fluff in our house. I think fart falls into the latter category, not quite a swear word but one that we don't particularly want to heat but may be heard by others or on TV. I think because there are much worse words now a days that people use and call people, this one seems kind of 'soft' so people aren't too worried about it!Lived With Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04314005731385741692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4479671215236431924.post-65979978452234982322015-05-05T18:54:52.037+01:002015-05-05T18:54:52.037+01:00We call them pops.

In my opinion, (and it is just mine, so not criticising!) it is just a word to describe a natural bodily function, just like burp, wee and poo. I know lots of people feel the same as you, but I don't get it? And the NHS website refers to it as farting as well :)Rachel @ Parenthood Highs and Lowshttp://www.parenthoodhighsandlows.comnoreply@blogger.com
