Win a Little Felted Mouse from Mrs Foxs

My final 5th blog anniversary giveaway is for a sweet little handmade felted mouse from Mrs Fox's.
Maegan Darcie Clement, Felted mouse, Mrs Fox's
He quickly became best friends with Meg and I absolutely adore handmade crafts, Nina at Mrs Fox's http://www.mrsfoxs.com is extremely talented!
Maegan Darcie Clement, Felted mouse, Mrs Fox's

I was worried that a little felted mouse would easily lose his shape with my little ones, but mouse has done well and hasn't lost his shape at all - despite all the handeling a two and four year old can throw at him!
 Felted mouse, Mrs Fox's

I absolutely adore his long tail and little nose and Meg likes to rub his ear between her fingers like a "taggie"

Asthma in Schools - Emergency Inhalers

Asthma Emergency Inhalers in Schools Campaign

  • There are over 1 million children with asthma in the UK, that’s 1 in 11 children and there are, on average, 2 children in every classroom with asthma.
  • Every single day there are 84 children admitted to hospital for emergency treatment for asthma and the equivalent of a classroom of children die because of asthma every year.
  • It is currently illegal for schools to have an emergency spare inhaler to use in the event of a potentially life-threatening asthma attack.
  • The government have recently announced a public consultation on spare emergency inhalers in schools. Inhalers that could be used to help a child in the event of an unexpected asthma episode, and even save a life.
  • Please visit the Asthma UK page and complete the consultation response. Every response will highlight how important this issue is to children with asthma, and their parents. But please click now – you only have until 30 May to make this difference.
The Asthma UK Helpline offers independent advice about asthma for anyone worried or who would like to talk confidentially to a specialist asthma nurse. It is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm on 0800 121 62 44.

Lullingstone Country Park

We are in the process of moving house and last weekend we found ourselves in a bit of a predicament - we've already accepted an offer on our house but we were struggling to find anything in Bromley to buy in the area we are looking at - there was nothing new or left to look at within our price bracket so we'd started to give up on Bromley and took a drive to look at some other areas as a back up incase we needed to look further afield such as Longfield, Hartley, Kemsing, Shoreham, Enysford, Sevenoaks and a few others along the way.

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

Our drive took us past Lullingstone Country Park, somewhere I hadn't been before but wanted to see, so we made a spur of the moment stop for an adventure with the little people!

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

What a wonderful place and such good value for money - it's just £2 for the whole family - you only pay for car parking! It's only about 20mins from Bromley.

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

There's a sweet little cafe, shop and visitors centre (with toilets!) at the carpark.

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

We had a good wonder around and came across things such as wooden giant minibeasts - Snail, Caterpillar, Butterfly and Bumblebee were all climbed on!

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

There was a brilliant snakes and adders obsticle course with all the woodwork resembling snakes and further on we came across a zip wire swing - a big hit with all kids! We also liked tiptoeing into a hidden bird watch hideout and peeping to see what we could spot.

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

There were plenty of colour markers if you were following a particular walking route - along the walks - and hill rolling - we discovered several rubbing posts - next time I'll remember to bring paper and wax crayons for these! Blake and Maegan were fascinated!

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

We passed lots of other families, picnics and horse riders, some of the trail we followed went through woodlands and crossed onto a golf course too! The children felt happy enough in the open spaces to just run free and explore.

Emma in Bromley - Lullingstone Country Park with Maegan and Blake Clement

We would definitely visit again, we enjoyed this outdoor space very much.
